There are watches that are designed around color, watches designed around specs, and watches designed around a story. The DOXA SUB 300 Beta “Frogger” sits somewhere deeper. It is a watch built around a feeling: cold water, early mornings, sand under steel, and the kind of quiet grit that does not need to announce itself. With input from active special forces members. The "Frogger" was designed as being a tool first.
For this Belmont Watches limited edition, we wanted to create something that felt connected to the old-world dive watch spirit, but with a story that belonged closer to home. The “Frogger” is a nod to the Navy UDT teams, the underwater demolition men who operated long before the modern Navy SEAL image became part of popular culture. These were the original frogmen: combat swimmers, demolition specialists, and maritime operators who helped shape what would eventually become the SEAL Teams.
That heritage is exactly where the name comes from. “Frogger” is not meant to be loud or overly polished. It is a reference to those early frogmen and the hard, utilitarian world they came from. The watch carries that same character through its sandblasted case and bracelet, olive dial, high-visibility orange accents, and purposeful military-inspired feel.
The result is a DOXA that feels less like a display-piece limited edition and more like something that already has a little sand, salt, and history in it.
A Watch Built Around Coronado
On the case back, we engraved Coronado as a direct tribute to the place so deeply tied to Naval Special Warfare. Coronado is where generations of Navy SEAL candidates have trained, suffered, adapted, and earned their place. It is also where the lineage of the UDT frogmen carries forward into the modern SEAL Teams.
That detail matters. The “Frogger” is not just using military styling for the sake of aesthetics. The engraving grounds the watch in a real place and a real tradition. Coronado represents the transformation from swimmer to operator, from candidate to teammate, from the old UDT frogmen to the modern SEALs who inherited that legacy.
The case back itself carries the limited-edition engraving, the “DOXA SUB FROGGER” name, and the Coronado detail within the circular design. It is subtle, but intentional. You do not see it when the watch is on wrist, but that is part of the point. The story is there whether anyone else notices it or not.
Sandblasted Steel, Military Tone
The first thing that sets this watch apart visually is the finish. The case and bracelet are fully sandblasted, giving the steel a muted, matte appearance that feels far more tactical than polished. It removes the flash while keeping the unmistakable shape of the DOXA SUB case intact.
That sandblasted finish changes the personality of the watch completely. Instead of catching light like a traditional polished or brushed diver, the “Frogger” feels more subdued and field-ready. It pairs naturally with the olive dial and dark bezel, creating a watch that looks like it belongs with canvas, nylon, saltwater gear, and old military kit.
The muted sandblasted look was a large request from the special forces guys that helped design this watch.
The bracelet keeps the classic DOXA beads-of-rice style, but the sandblasted treatment makes it feel more rugged and less dressy. It still has that fluid, vintage-inspired comfort, but visually it becomes part of the larger military story.
Each watch is accompanied by a green Nylon NATO with sandblasted hardware.
The Dial: Olive, Orange, and Purpose
The dial is where the watch really comes alive. The olive green texture gives it a gritty, almost equipment-like quality, while the orange hands and markers bring in the unmistakable DOXA energy. It is military-inspired without becoming dull, and bold without feeling overdesigned. "Less is more" was the motto for the dial. With the only text being "DOXA" and of course "SWISS MADE", being mandatory. If the service members that have first dibs on the watch are diving 300 meters like it was designed, will not need it on the dial as a reminder of why they bought this watch in the first place.
Oversized bright orange hands to make it legible and useful. On a dive watch, legibility matters, and that bright orange hand immediately pulls the eye. The matching orange accents around the bezel and dial give the watch a strong visual identity while still working with the muted green and sandblasted steel. Applied black indices were added for the lume to be thicker and brighter longer.

It is a watch that feels built for utility, but not stripped of personality. That balance is what makes the “Frogger” work.
The Bezel: No-Deco, Orange, and Purpose
The no-deco bezel is one of the defining details of a DOXA. They invented this unique tool back in 1966. The United States Navy Dive Table has an outer scale that is in 'FT' with green coloring. The more important inner scale is in orange. Most Doxa watches have the colored paint on the outer depth scale ring. We decided since the time is the most important tool of this bezel it should be the most legible. With so much technology in diving most people use the analog Doxa as a secondary safety net. Most times is something is going to go wrong, it'll go wrong at the worst time...at depth. The ceramic uni-directional bezel has easy to grip teeth.
